Full-time Barista vacancy at Ritchies Wharf Coffee !

We are looking for baristas who have a passion to join the Ritchies family and for great coffee. Come join the team at the Wharf Studios and be a part of something new and exciting. You should be motivated by teamwork and willing to help others. With no day being the same, you must be adaptable and positive to deliver our specialty coffee whilst maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Use effective customer care skills to ensure the well-being of customers at all times.
Ensure and maintain good customer relations.
Ensure high levels of safety and hygiene are maintained throughout the Coffee shop.
Be firm, but fair to ensure discipline is maintained by children whilst in the Coffee
shop.
Report any issues that could affect the smooth running of the Coffee shop to the line
manager.
Food and Beverage Preparation
Prepare food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene; Health and Safety Standards.
Food and Beverage preparation to be high quality so as to meet customer
requirements.
Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks to specified recipe standards.
Prepare and serve pastries, sandwiches and other snack foods as requested to recipe
standards.
All equipment should be cleaned in preparation for next use.

Stock:
o Receive and store stock, ensuring accurate booking in.
o Shelves/fridges should be fully stocked with items available and must be
replenished throughout the day, particularly after peak times.
o Stock rotation must be adhered to at all times so that stock with the earliest
sell-by date is at the front/on top of shelves so that customers use this stock
first. Any stock nearing its expiry date must be reported to the line manager at
the earliest opportunity to reduce prices/sell.
o All staff should report any stocks that are running low to the line manager so
that these can be ordered.
o Discuss any requests or suggestions for new stock items with line manager.

Checks
o Take temperature checks of the freezers / fridges and report findings on record
sheet – any faults should be reported to the line manager.
o Staff should report at the earliest opportunity to their line manager or accounts
if they are running low on change in the till.
o All staff should ensure accurate cash handling. Any problems should be
reported to the line manager.

Cleaning:
o Prepare the Coffee shop in readiness for opening and ensure service and
seating areas are cleaned before use.
o Tables, chairs, work tops and the floor should be cleaned / hoovered / mopped
after peak times so that the Coffee shop maintains a high level of cleanliness.
o Collect cups / rubbish from the seating areas so that they are ready for further
use
